Galchenyuk Back On Ice

Written By: Iain Carnegie, BBBR

Before the remainder of the team hit the ice in Brossard on Wednesday, the lone figure of Number 27 put blades to the ice surface for the first time since April 9th.

Alex Galchenyuk went out of the game against the Chicago Blackhawks with a knee injury, and it’s been rather quiet ever since in regards to his potential return.

Coach Michel Therrien has hinted at the possibility of Galchenyuk returning at some point during the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series against the Boston Bruins.

“There’s a chance he’ll play in the second round, I hope. Not quite sure yet.” ~ M. Therrien

Although still being rather vague, his presence on the ice is a welcome sign for the Montréal Canadiens.
